Joydeep Das is the new Director of Sales & Marketing At The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat – Marriott International

With over 14 years of experience, a versatile individual, Joydeep Das has been appointed to the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat. In his current role, Joydeep will be responsible for nurturing new sales and marketing strategies in order to boost rooms & events sales at the hotel.

Enjoying stupendous success in his role, Joydeep’s primary duties encompass making pricing decisions for both transient and group bookings, creating budgets and forecasts, devising strategies, organizing special events to boost Rooms and Food and beverage sales, and establishing the hotel as the preferred choice for weddings.

This dynamic professional has enjoyed exponential career growth with top tier hospitality brands since completing his graduation in Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from Calcutta University. He further went on to complete his Masters in Planning Entrepreneurship from the Indian Institute of Planning Management, New Delhi. He started his hotel career with Concept Hospitality Pvt Ltd. as senior sales executive,

and his past roles include leading hotel brands such as ITC Hotels – ITC Sonar and Pre-opening team of the biggest hotel of Eastern India - ITC Royal Bengal, a luxury collection Hotel, Kolkata. Post this he was involved in the launching of Welcomhotel By ITC Hotels, Bhubaneshwar, with his last assignment at IHCL as Director of Sales at Taj Fisherman’s Cove Resort Spa, Chennai. Joydeep is a person of diverse interests, with a wide range of hobbies that keep his life vibrant and exciting. He enjoys the art of connecting with new people. Music is another passion that resonates with his soul, providing a soundtrack to his life and offering solace in its soothing melodies or energy in its upbeat rhythms.
